Pre-Employment and Monitoring Hearing Tests

New Hearing Test Requirements for 1 January 2024

Employers must provide hearing tests to workers who frequently use hearing protection:

  • Within 3 months of starting their employment (baseline test)
  • A follow-up test at least every 2 years

Employer Responsibilities

  1. Arranging the hearing Test – Organising and paying for their workers’ hearing tests 
  2. Record keeping – Keeping a copy of the hearing test results 
  3. Review of noise control in the workplace – If a hearing loss is discovered due to work, the employer must modify the work environment to reduce further impact

How Long Does It Take To Receive the Audiometric Testing Report ?

We aim to send you the report on the same day the worker gets tested.
If this is not possible, it will be sent the next day.

How Long Does The Hearing Test Take?

Around 10 Minutes

How Much Does Each Pre Employment Hearing Test Cost?

We charge $60 per Employee tested (includes report).
We have special rates of $55 if your business resides in the following postcodes:

    • 2164 – Wetherill Park, Smithfield
    • 2165 – Fairfield
    • 2176 – Bossley Park, Edensor Park, Greenfield Park, Prairiewood, Wakeley, St John’s Park
    • 2175 – Horsley Park
    • 2177 – Bonnyrigg

 

Do You Offer Any Special Prices For Testing in Bulk?

If you refer 20 or more employees for testing at once, we charge $55 (regardless of postcode the business resides in)
